OUTREACH

AIRE will be a converging point for ASU’s prominence and national competitiveness in the renewable energy arena through current and anticipated energy initiatives. Key competencies at ASU exist in solar, biomass, Hydrogen, distributed energy, building technologies and basic energy science. Coordination of these efforts and fostering expertise transfer from related areas of ASU’s conspicuous nanotechnology programs will situate the center for federal and industrial attention.

The center will organize efficient information exchange and a creative solution oriented networking environment for internal members of the center and external academic and industrial partners through seminars, conferences, exchange research travel, web portal and data base development. In addition, AIRE will provide new opportunities for education and training of both undergraduate and graduate students. Research cutting across department boundaries and linked to the national laboratories and industry broadens the educational experience and brings fresh ideas to the work. Not only will students find this more exciting, but it is attractive to their future employers.
